Caroline is the Director of Performance Edge Psychology and is a registered psychologist with almost 20 years of experience who has worked in a variety of contexts in both clinical and performance psychology. As a former Olympian (Athens 2004) she has unique insight into elite performance which she combines with her psychological understanding and professional experience in her private practice and other consulting roles.
Caroline is committed to engaging with people by emphasising the connection, relationship and authenticity between herself and her client. Caroline’s areas of interest in therapy includes performance optimisation, performance restoration and managing in high pressure moments. Specifically, she works with performance anxiety, perfectionism, mental blocks, burn out and well-being, emotional awareness, focus improvement, identity and purpose, eating disorders in elite sport, depression and anxiety disorders in young people and adults, and working with neurodiverse individuals including high performers with ADHD.
Caroline was the Australian Olympic Committee Lead psychologist for the Paris 2024 Olympics, an currently is the Lead Psychologist for the 2025 season for the Melbourne Mavericks (Suncorp Super Netball Team). She has been a Senior Consultant to the Australian Institute of Sport Games Ready Program, has been the Performance Psychologist at the Victorian Institute of Sport for over 8 years working with a range of sports including Diving, Cycling, Gymnastics. Furthermore, Caroline is one of the selected psychologist across Australia for The Australian Institute of Sport Mental Health Referrals Network (MHRN), providing individual care to Australia’s elite athletes as well as a Consulting Psychologist for the AFL Players Association and the Professional Footballers Association. Caroline provides supervision to psychologists and is a partner of Applied Performance Psychology (www.appliedperformancepsychology.com), delivering performance psychology training to psychologists around Australia.
